2019 Kia Stinger Earns Top Safety Pick+ Rating from IIHS

Perhaps the most exciting model in our new vehicle inventory is the Kia Stinger fastback sedan. With its sporty good looks, aggressive front fascia, low slung stance, and punchy available 365-horsepower turbocharged V-6 power plant, it both talks the talk and walks the walk. Loaded with tech, and equipped with surprisingly versatile cargo capacity, the Stinger merges the best parts of fun-to-drive sports car and practical daily driver into one extremely stylish package. Available in five trim levels—base, Premium, GT, GT1, and GT2—it’s an excellent choice for Hackettstown and Dover drivers looking to add a little excitement to their morning commute.

And now, the 2019 Kia Stinger is the 10th Kia model to garner Top Safety recognition from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, earning a Top Safety Pick Plus designation when equipped with available Kia DRIVEWiSE technology and LED headlights.

Included on Premium and higher trim levels, the Stinger’s Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system earned a rating of “superior” for automatic emergency braking, avoiding track-test collisions at 12 mph and 25 mph. The LED projector headlights (Premium and higher models), also earned top ratings.

All Stinger models come equipped with standard Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW) with Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW). Additional available advanced safety features and driver-assistance technologies include:

  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) with available Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
  • Smart Cruise Control (SCC)
  • Automatic high beams
